A gentle walk to celebrate Tom's life, share stories, and remind each other that no one has to face difficult times alone.
Tom was a funny, confident, and charming Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Nephew, Cousin and friend. We were all lucky to have him in our lives, and the world is a sadder place without him. We wanted to honour his memory by inviting friends and family to join us on a walk he and Debs did many time around their beloved home town, Hedon.
This is not about raising money. We invite you to join us to walk, remember Tom, share stories and lets normalise conversations around Mental Health because there is always someone ready to listen.
Please share stories of how you know Tom and memories you made together, these help everyone who knew him build a fuller picture of his life and the impact he had on those around him.
A gentle, accessible route, please remember this is not a challenge event, just a walk.
There are links to resources from this website, we will talk about some of them on the day. In addition, we will all remind each other that this is about remembering our friend and promoting positive mental health.
The route will start on Market Hill in Hedon, a place where Tom spent days playing football with his best friend Lewis, past his primary school and then looping back onto the railway line and finishing up at one of his favourite places... the pub to carry on the conversation. The walk is gentle, accessible and approximately 2.5 miles. We will share a downloadable map closer to the day.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available right now. We've gathered a list of organisations offering free, confidential support.
